WORDS

MINNESOTA

It’s a heavy burden. It’s a crying shame.

It’s a poor man’s ocean made of waves of grain.

So I lay my head on the cold, wood floor.

Cause a fool like me doesn’t care anymore.

Drunk in Minnesota. Gassed up in Nebraska.

Gone in Wisconsin. Juiced in Colorado.

Blacked out in North Dakota.

I remember it so well...drunk in Minnesota.

If you think I’ve fallen just cause I’m down here.

Keep it to yourself, pal. Mind your own damn beer.

Got a few new lies. Learned a few new tricks.

Have a few more drinks with the same old dicks.

Drunk in Minnesota. Gassed up in Nebraska.

Gone in Wisconsin. Juiced in Colorado.

Blacked out in South Dakota.

I remember it so well...drunk in Minnesota.

It’s a heavy burden. Takes a lifetime, too.

Filling up the deep hole where the dreams slipped through.

Drunk in Minnesota. Gassed up in Nebraska.

Gone in Wisconsin. Juiced in Colorado.

Blacked out in North or South Dakota.

I remember it so well...drunk in Minnesota.
