WORDS

PELICAN

Everyone has their price. Everybody but you.

Shadows and memories will knock you down in the end.

Like a dog at the door...you stare frozen.

Pelican - everybody else comes first.

Pelican - you would rather die of thirst.

Pelican - feed them on your flesh and blood.

While your heart cries out loud.

That’s the ace in the hole. That’s your face in the mirror.

Never fixing yourself. And that’s your story to burn.

Just a well-meaning soul. Veins run empty.

Pelican.

I can see it all so clearly now.

As you glide across the sand.

You sing another verse in Death’s sad song.

While they line their coats with your warm skin.

Pelican - everybody else comes first.

Pelican - you would rather die of thirst.

Pelican - feed them on your flesh and blood.

While your heart cries out loud.
