DOLL HOUSE

Moth flies in circles.

Bounces off the light. I know just how he feels.

Taking forever.

Trying to peg where I went wrong is why I’m going nowhere.

Trophy brides and their piggish grooms.

Take the gloves off in the duking rooms.

Soon enough it will come to blows, sangria flows, cop radios.

Doll house - there’s a fire in the doll house.

I watch it burn from the safety of miles.

Dripping white as it melts plastic smiles.

Na na na na doll house.

Pierced by the sadness.

Gravity will crush another bad situation.

Under a sharp heel.

I’m waiting for the other shoe to put new holes right through me.

Stomped my heart into the mud.

Last one standing washes up the blood.

Leaving her facing flashing lights of black and whites, Miranda rights.

Doll house - there’s a fire in the doll house.

Watch it burn from the safety of miles.

Dripping white as it melts plastic smiles.

Na na na na doll house.

Prints on a wineglass. Man in a trench coat on the grass.

Fat man earns a dirty dollar chasing lipstick on a collar.

Doll house - there’s a fire in the doll house.

Watch it burn from the safety of miles.

Dripping white as it melts plastic smiles.

Na na na na doll house.
