The way she walked, and turned her head.

The way she held her cigarette.

She just took off her wedding ring.

I notice things. I notice things.

 

He gets a drink. It's gin and limes.

He’s checked his watch a dozen times.

He plays the jukebox. And Tammy sings.

Shadows fall across the faces.

Who don’t belong in these dark places.

But I make notes on what you do.

Take pictures too.

I’m watching you.     

 

Roadside motel. Parking lot.

Room 202. The light goes out.

Now they’ll have to face what tomorrow brings.
