A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THIS ALBUM:
This is an oddball for sure.

In 1995 I was asked by a theater group called Cygnet, if I would write an original score for a play called Kings And War Music.
It was going to be staged reading, meaning everyone read from scripts, but still ACTED!
They asked me for some music that sounded ancient and ethereal to be played in the background.
The play was Greek, and I'm Greek too, so I got really into it.
Being that this was in the nineties and we weren't yet reaping the benefits of any real working internet, I went to the library and checked out a bunch of CDs of Greek music. I listened and listened and tried to absorb.
And this music is what came out.

I believe I worked harder on this than anything else I worked on that entire decade. I really gave it everything I had. I wanted to do a good job for the production, but also wanted to honor the Greek heritage I was born into, but really have never known much about.
I didn't want to screw it up, yeah?

Anyway, it worked very well for the atmosphere of the play.
I think it was performed on a Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday, and that was the end of that.
Still I've always had a place in my heart for this project, and thought I should re-release it someday.
So here you go.

Thanks for checking this out, perpetual listener and friend.
