THE NEXT APARTMENT
There’s a party in the next apartment. Sounds like they’re tearing down the walls.
Call up the fire department and have those animals hosed out of the halls.
Confound those noisy people. I can never get no sleep.
What on earth is that vibration? I wish I got an invitation.

There’s a party in the next apartment. Did they forget I was alive?
Maybe they think I’m too quiet. Now the place is buzzing like a hive.
I can do those dances right. I can wear my pants that tight.
Wish I may I wish I might. I don’t want to be alone tonight.

I want to be there when they’re dancing cheek to cheek.
I want to be there with the fancy people looking chic.
I want to be there when the evening hits it’s sweaty peak.
I wanna...I wanna! OH! OH! OH! OH!

There’s a party in the next apartment. Now the drinks are on the house and floor.
Sound just like a kindergarden as I approach the door next door.
It opened up and there was yahoo in front of the screaming Zulus.
Hi neighbor, I thought you knew. We’ve been waiting all night for you.

I want to be there when they’re dancing cheek to cheek.
I want to be there with the fancy people looking chic.
I want to be there when the evening hits it’s sweaty peak.
I wanna...I wanna! OH! OH! OH! OH!
I wanna...I wanna! OH! OH! OH! OH!
I wanna...I wanna! OH! OH! OH! OH!
I wanna...I wanna! OH! OH! OH! OH!

There’s a party in the next apartment.
