TWO’S A CROWD
Memories just fade away. Sometimes two’s a crowd.
Maybe I’ve been alone too long to tell.
But it seems you and I just never heard those lasting bells.
I can hear them talking filth right through the walls.
And it makes me think of those midnight calls.
Now those memories they just fade away like all those yesterdays.
Some nights I hear my heart beating much too loud.
How I loved you. I swear I did. But sometimes two’s a crowd.
Memories just fade away. Sometimes two’s a crowd.
Living beside myself is misery.
But it sure beats most people’s company.
Four bucks buys a room that’s paper thin.
If you think I’m doing fine, just think again.
Now those memories they just fade away like all those yesterdays.
I’ll beg or stay gone. Some choice. I’ve always been too proud.
Goodbye. All the best. I’ve found that sometimes two’s a crowd.
Memories just fade away. Sometimes two’s a crowd.
