WHAT HAVE I DONE?

Every time I think I’ve got the green light,

It’s just an empty waiting room.

It’s such a pity what goes on around me.

While I sound just like the voice of doom.

I’m operating on the roll of the dice.

If it happened once, maybe it happens twice.

If I ask they’ll bring me something for my nerves.

Then make the incision.

Get it.

What have I done? You looked right through me.

What have I done? You looked right through me.

Here she comes. She’s caught me dead in her sights.

Giving me the smallest smile.

Knowing the customer is always right.

But my eyes send daggers and defile.

Won't you tell me how this happened to her.

Did her days fly by like old movie calendars?

Maybe I’ll unravel each and every crime.

But I can’t even think here.

What have I done? You looked right through me.

What have I done? You looked right through me.

Forgotten here.

I must have been forgotten here.

You see these broken windows? It's nothing new.

It's just like roses dying after Valentine’s day.

But it goes round and round, just sticking in my head

I should have got it on a silver tray.

There’s nothing much I believe in anymore.

I’ve paid the fiddler, and live a life I can’t afford.

As for you I don’t know where you get the strength.

But you got what you wished for.

Dig it.

What have I done? You looked right through me.

What have I done? You looked right through me.

What have I done?
