For months I’d been working on several different songs, tinkering away a little on this one, a little on that one, without much rhyme or reason.

I definitely was NOT working toward pulling all the songs together for an album or anything.

And, of course, that’s when I noticed a pattern starting to emerge, and a story starting to form…

Many of the songs were about being alone.

Not necessarily BAD alone, or GOOD alone, just the simple act of ‘alone’ and having to reckon with the ol’ face in the mirror (which is something we’ve all been doing a lot of lately).

There are some who enjoy being alone.

And then there are others who cannot stand being alone even for a minute.

Nothing right or wrong about it, either way…

Pretty much depends on how you were shipped from the Factory.

Anyway, I noticed that these songs I was working on were covering a lot of those kinds of ‘alone’ ups and downs.

And I suddenly imagined a character; a sort of nameless and faceless fellow, who becomes caught up and fraught in the wheels of his own solitary.

I imagined where that state of mind might take someone…

Down some roads, I reckoned.

The thing about an unfamiliar road, though…should you turn back once you realize you’re on it, or should you just commit, keep going, and find out where it ends?

I guess the answer depends on the person.

Nothing right or wrong about it, either way…

Pretty much depends on how you were shipped from the Factory.

Thanks to Ryan Foster (@fostermastering), who beautifully mastered this album, going above and beyond.

Do yourself a favor and listen to this with headphones. Ryan's impeccable work has morphed this collection of songs into quite a wild adventure for your ear holes.

Thanks again, Ryan!

And thank you, dear listener and friend, for giving this record a spin or two.
